i want to boost

k so this whole not having a turbo has got to me, i cant take it anymore, curious, how well will the 4g94 handle the VIII turbo? and if I went with the VIII turbo, what route would I have to take for my motor to handle the changes, what other mods besides intake, header, bigger injectors, oil pump, should I be looking for? any help id appreciate it.

Just be careful on boost. Get too many PSI and the pistons melt.

Bigger exhaust. Intake and some exhaust will be determined by turbo piping. Injectors are good. Oil pump is fine stock.

Just read a lot. That's what I did. There's a ton of knowledge in this forum. And you get bonus points for finding it and not just posting in Lancer General.

There is some good starting reading. I spent about 18 months reading about turbo'ing before I turbo'd my Lancer. You can never learn too much. The last two threads are for two guys who are using the EVO 8 turbo and other EVO parts.

if your gonna turbo it on stock internals just keep the boost set at 7psi and you'll be safe

Which means you can't use the evo VIII turbo without an external wastegate

I can't imagine that the 16g produces much power at 7psi ?
