Again if you cant tell just by looking at that.. NOT all CVTs are made the same, they have them split into classes for different capabilities. Ours is the F1C1, yes. the outlander has a bigger one, and so on. So as much as they may be manufactured by the same company, they arent manufactured for the same car. Theres still massive differences in design and durability with each set for performance with the specific range of cars and size of engines.

Thanks for reinforcing my point and maybe people will stop trying to compare CVTs .

See that's what I was worried about. Any suggestions? Like I said before, I've always done supers, this'll be the first time I've actually planted a turbo in a car.

My suggestion - start small. Get a little turbo off a 2G Eclipse or a TD04 off a WRX. If that's safe, then we can worry about stepping up to the big boys...

that was my plan exactly, but i wasnt sure if id work just bc it was 2 different motors, that id work fine. i had asked about this and ppl told me to wait instead bc they werent sure how much the lancer engine could handle.

Alright, cool. Guess now I'm in the market for a TD04 and an intercooler. After doing some research I'm feeling pretty good about this.

45,000 isnt THAT much, its used but still thats like, 3 years of driving. Only reason i can see it being crap is if the seals are crap. So i suppose him having a very crappy description could infact lead me to believe the things a POS along with the $35 price....

If i knew how to fix up a turbo (incase it is indeed crap) without having to spend money id definitly drop $35 on it lol.

Yeah I'm definitely picking one up local from someone I trust or from a very reputable online dealer. I'll never buy parts off eBay again.
