RRM 16g turbo is this normal?

i just installed the kit about 2 weeks ago. i been busy with school and some other things had to be resolved. than i took the car out for a cruise over the weekened. than a few days after white smoke was coming out of my exhaust. i knew something was burning. people told me to check my oil and made sure their was no coolant...and if their was it can be a headgasket, so i checked my oil and it was fine. my car was in my driveway ever since. than a few days ago my friend who is a mechanic who works for toyota told me to pull my charge pipes. i pulled my charge pipes and found oil going towards my intercooler. when i got back from school last night i pulled the turbo and manifold out of the car. i noticed the hotside of the turbo was all black it seemed like oil got into it.

*a guy on the boards here told me that its not normal to find oil in your hotside going to your exhaust. he said it can be i had a bad turbo (for ex. the seals are messed up)

*my other friend who is a mechanic for meineke said the turbo looked fine too him and its normal for oil to get into the hotside.

i havent really posted a review on the turbo kit, i will later eventually when i get everything straight, but the car does pull lets put it that way and rrm has gave good customer service so far. i even emailed them to pix to made sure i installed the turbo kit correctly.

I don't think oil in the hot side is good.

I dont think oil in the hotside is good either. White burning smoke = coolant..... Blue tinted smoke = oil

Sounds like a headgasket problem or if the turbo is watercooled, a seal problem.

Well, if there is oil in the intercooler pipes. You are likely looking at a blown seal or two. Is the center shaft flexing? also when you got the trbo was it NEW?

ya imma have to get this figured out asap. theirs a shop here about 45 mins from where i live at. they built a tt wrx and also a dsm specialist. their gonna check out my turbo than imma have it installed back in my car once they figure out the prob.

ill give you guys an update tomorrow before i go to class. i doubt the whole turbo is blown. the worse than i can think of are the seals being blown.
