Uh huh, what about Ralliart(not the supposed release of the car), they better put out more than just appearance stuff and a lousy drop in filter

Hello everybody,

I talked to one of the salesmen at the dealership the other day while they were doing my first oil change...

They told me the EVO X is arriving around christmas (He told me they were already taking orders and they're gonna receive around 10 of them) and the RA will be released next spring..

He told me it was a turbo engine but i dnt remember what he told me about the cc... i dont know if it's gona be a 2.0L or a 2.4

But if its a 2.0L is there any chance we might be able to install it on our 08 lancers?

cheers

wait n see
well... as lots of ppl said 1000000 times... we'll just have to wait because it's all rumors for now..

BUT

1) If there's a turbo kit that comes out ---> good for us because we can keep our warranties

2) If there's no turbo kit... we'll just have to buy an evo X one (yes , we might lose the warranty but still , its a turbo that should work well on the X which has the same engine...) --> so no big deal there

but i wonder if the evoX turbo can work for a 08 CVT since the X is 6sp manual only...

For sure You want to try to get hold of one of the technician/mechanic's working in their shop, as those are the guys who usually keep on top of all these latest news/updates with the car. One of the techs at my dealership for example is a regular on the mitsubishiforums for example.

there is an AUTO evo X with twin clutch shift paddles... so it might work!

the cvt more than likely wont handle the power and torque a turbo will put out. Maybe on very low boost applications in which case it wouldnt make sense to do this.

The evo x motor has different pistons rods valves and cams. Its really just the same block. Thats it though. All the internals are different

ok did you really think about what you just said? last time i checked those are internals.... anyway!!! its the same damn engine just stfu about it! Facts, facts, facts, facts, facts! your opinions dont make a difference!!!

4B11=4B11 last time i checked.
thats a fact!

well the evo x prolly has different pistons and rods and valves and exahuast and blah blah blah.
thats an opinion.

the evo x will have different internals. The compression ratio of the evo will be around 9:1 where the es/gts is 10:1. Thats a fact. You can be sure that the cams and valves will definitely be different as well to tailor to the turbo. Mitsubishi does not run the same head on the 4B11 engine that is shared with its American counterparts, so its also quite possible that the EVO may run a completely different head
