hello, there have been many rumors around about a Turbo kit for the 2008 lancer GTS. It was said to be released by mitsubishi and covered under full warrenty. IF this is true any idea if its available for CVT and 5 speed? or how much it will cost part/labor?

Thank You for your time.
~Joe

Well, there are several articles that have been linked in the other Mitsu forum and over at Edmunds about Mitsu entering/re-entering the aftermarket and JDM style niche. One was a translated article from Japan, one was an article write up out of russia in somewhat bad english, and as I recall one was an insider blog from the east coast. I have two friends, one a senior sales manager, who work at mitsu dealers these days and both have said nearly identical things.

But until it is officially announced it's all just smoke and rumors really. From a rational standpoint, given what Mitsu is doing with their vehicle lines and saying int he press, as well as from a business perspective, it makes sense... but who knows. I tend to believe a good chunk of what I hear.

Yes, the above link was just speaking of the Ralliart, turbo'd Lancer.

There's a huge difference between a out-of-factory turbo'd Lancer and dropping a turbo kit in a base Lancer

Tho since the ralliart has come up is there any solid info on that car yet? Looks like the Evo could be too much for me but the Ralliart could be just right.

There's nothing really solid on it yet, but it looks like the Ralliart is shaping up to be a WRX killer (with the X being the STI killer).

if you really want a turbo, just do a 4g63 swap...plenty of room and turbo options for that motor
