JRR, whatever sucks aside from the loss of your friend, I'm sorry about it. Not a whole lot to be said to make you feel any better about it right now, but given time everything improves. As far as the cars go, there's always a faster fish in the sea, and like you said, there is always room for improvement.

So...whenever you are down, pitty the guy in the geo metro next to you, he's got it worse than you do

(no offense to any forum geo metro owners....actually...take a little offense, you need to sell that thing)

well we have laid my friend to rest and we are somewhat doing better no that we have closure but it will never be the same without him...

anywho....
after this whole ordeal i have come to realize that my full potential of the stock turbo has been realized and im just spinning the turbine and not making any more power with it. 22psi seems to be the upper limit of the turbo.

so after researching what i could get i think im going to go with a forced performance 68hta which is basically a modified 18g and out flows the evo 3 big 16g and the 18g. just got to do some more work to get it tho

well im looking at about 300 awd whp on the soob. picking up a used ej20 in the next few days to tear apart and rebuild. prolly cosworth 272's, je pistons, manly rods, possible cosworth crank. idk all the specifics yet but its gonna be a nice build.

didnt want to go the hybrid route (sti 2.5 block with 2.0 heads) becuse of its been done and the other reason is that i cant find a decent prices ej25 shortblock. and i didnt want to go full 2.5 swap just due to the fact that its gonna cost booku money and once a gain cant find a 2.5 block for a decent price...

Well that shouldn't be too hard though i do really hate working on scoobs the engine placement makes seemingly mundane tasks like plug installs quite interesting.

Always seemed like the scoobs needed bigger turbos from factory they are torquey beasts but their top end really suffers.
