The wastegate spring is the lowest psi the turbo can run. A boost controller can only adjust the pressure above that limit since they withhold or bleed off pressure (depends on the style). So yes, you will have to keep the low psi spring in.

if i have an electronic boost controller then do i need to use the small spring for the forge adjustable wastegate or how does that all work? also if neone needs some cable to run their battery in the trunk, let me knoww, plus what needs to be done to have it in the back, ( something about a relay with the fuel pump?)
To run your battery to the trunk all you need to do is run a cable from your positive back to your trunk then ground the negative to the chassis under the hood and have another negative cable in the trunk that is also grounded to the chassis. As far as the fuel pump relay goes this is not needed for the battery relocation this is for something different. You can ensure your pump is getting maximum voltage by adding a relay to the fuel pump and connecting it straight to the battery instead of using the stock power from the harness.
