My offer is $900 just for the bottom end,

excluding the head since I have a good one anyways.

I still would prefer the 8:8:1 compression because then I could probably run the stock tephra rom anyways

I think hornstar is right evos run incredibly high timing then run pig rich on top to compensate. At least from what I've read and been told

well that what I was thinking, basically try running the entire map without changing anything.

But then I again I say I am probably wrong because I forgot the 4G63 is a little bit bigger and is Dohc...

ok never mind I take that back lol

I think the issue is that our motor is a "stroker", which can't handle the timing, and like you said the dohc. There's no shame in not being able to run the Evo maps, I'm sure those guys who put 2.4L motors in their evos have to significantly adjust timing as well. Be proud to wear your own timing map! Show your unique setups to the world, without fear.

I'm still confused why Zulu bought a new engine....what was the deal, just the noise from the head? And you are getting it fixed anyway to sell it? I dun get it....But I saw a dude on a bike checking the buick out this morning, soon as it sells I'll have a cool 1500 ready to spend.....probably on painting the kitchen though, because I owe the wife that much for sure.
