Ya I seem to recall someone cutting one of the bars to make it clear the manifold but doesn't that kinds defeat the purpose? Steven sure I can send it your way. Btw did you ever try those setting for idle I gave you?

 

I did not, when I was tuning my dealers evo 8, I took his rom with me and im using the stock idle for that and it works like a charm need to lower the idle to 1000, im idling at 1100 but it sounds good and no problems for over a week now!!!

 

I think it hits the cruise control...so if you have no cruise control you should be fine.

 

Hmmm interesting have you fit it yet Zulu? I might pick one up if that's the case.

 

i have not fit it bc i was working all day but i think it will work if u do a little bending, only minor

neone tried to do launch control, my tuner tried very quick the other day to just see if it would work but no luck lol.....whats the reason for that...are we missing something

I believe we are missing a clutch switch. The evo has two while we have one. At least I know this is why the NLTS does not work in our cars.

 

I have the 96530706 rom, and I can say that there will be throttle hang unless you tweak it out. there are a few good posts on it, or if it matters, I can just point you to where I learned how to fix mine. Any 05+ rom I think will have that throttle hang, and since the 9653 came from a 05 or 06...it has it, until you adjust it out.

Side note...I'm going to go with the 9417 pretty soon, like 03lances has, and I'm betting Zulu does too. I think it's probably more reliable in our car, because of 1 thing. It uses a MAP sensor, and the 9653 comes from a car that doesn't have one (over in europe or something), so I'm thinking it ought to be just a hair smoother....but just a guess, that's why I am trying it though
