I forgot the new lancers gained some baggage...

Slap on the RRM turbo kit = $5k for ~50 whp?

Probably a bit less than 50 WHP but still decent gains.

Although the new X conversions you can get are almost identical, but it's still pointless to make your car look like an evo when it's not.

No offense either, The TC-SST isn't the best tranny for launching =[ Fifth gear ran the X through a slalom against the STI and it had a weak launch and the tranny glitched out on the e-brake u-turn... really needs to have a 6spd option for the RA and EvoX

i dunno when you say it like that..that should make a lot of people think haha..50whp maybe less? but the way i think of it is Works flash claims 20whp..if thats true and it really does..thats almost half the gains a turbo kit does..for a fraction of the price..

1st, you can get an 09 gts with an lsd as an option, check mitsubishicars.com and build one. 2nd, my friends have an 07 Si and they get me in the straights, but since we both lowered our cars, i get them on the turns. lancers have a better/stiffer suspension than most FWD cars out there. define fast? a sub 14 sec 1/4? a 0-60 in less than 6.5 secs? it's possible and albeit expensive to mod the 4b11 NA in our cars but if that's what people want to do to make more power and be happier with the car, let them. I'm just as realistic as anyone else, but that doesn't mean we have to put the lancer down. how many 08 lancer owners have been asked why they didn't get the evo? if i had a nickel for everytime i was asked that i'd be able to buy one and pay the insurance on it!! haha, it's good to be able to start on a tried and true platform, but it's nice to be the able to say i was the first to do this in the cy4

As I have said before, I am very suspicious of that 20 WHP claim.

I'm looking at Mitsubishi's site right now and there is no option for an LSD. I also call BS on your claim, your friends can't drive if you can beat them because of a set of springs (since springs rarely increase handling ability). What tires are you and the SI running? Nobody is putting the Lancer down, it's a good car for what it is, but what it is is not a performance car. It wasn't built to be a performance car. To say a Lancer with a turbo kit is in the same league as an Evo is like saying a fat chick with a nose job is as hot as Jessica Alba.

Same here.

I could be wrong but that video of the flash was a custom dyno tune, so unless you had everything the same as that guy you wouldnt necessarily get +20whp.

also not sure if the works flash is 100% the same as that flash since it was a custom dyno tune and according to his site they spent 2-3 or 2-4 hours doing it.

and if it is the same then why doesnt works claim +20whp on the product page. im just asking these ?'s because I too am interested in the flash, i have been for a while but one video of a custom dyno tune isnt going to make me send my ecu out and pay 400 dollars.

any input on this ambystom ?

touring package, active stability control w/ traction control. My boys run on toyo proxes 4 i was on the stock dunlop sp500. I do outhandle them on every turn, i go faster with no understeer. they get me on the straights though. I just got my potenzas so we will see what happens on the highway next week. Don't be so quick to call BS on me, i don't post like i know everything. of course a lancer and evo are in different leagues, but speed is speed and i just want to know how we are measuring it? track times? acceleration times? But thanks for making me clarify the lsd/traction control issue.

The turbo claim of 50 hp is more like 70+ since 152 is at the crank and 200+ is at the wheels. need someone who got the works flash to fill us in on that 20 hp claim

^^ not to mention what the 2.4 could possibly make to the wheels with the correct supporting mods.

Yo

Where are you guys racing at? If this isn't on a track than this really doesn't count. Because how are you timing your runs? You very well could be a better driver than your friend as well. The stock Si suspension is a lot better than the stock GTS suspension. ASC isn't necessarily a LSD.

I think it is pretty obvious that you are simply a better driver than your friends. If you were equal drivers this conversation wouldn't be happening
