Yet another thread about Turboing a 03 lancer.
Well if your having issues at certain loads not displayed in your map (ie knock at 130 and you have 120, 140 in your map) Then I say go for it. I went a little overboard maybe with dropping parts down to 5 increments but I wanted the most resolution possible to deal with anything and with the big maps I was able to do this and still have plenty of map left over. If you decide to do that Steven I would suggest you figure out how you want your load columns to progress then change them to that and MAKE SURE you change all the values in your map to correspond with your load column changes.

And those values to make sure to chance, that correspond with load are Fuel maps (high and low) and timing maps (high and low), and that's it? I figured like you, and knew I would never be up in the like, 300 range for load....so i just went every 5 in the "area where it counts" up to like...230 or so.
Another note looks like my springs will be here tomorrow instead of Thursday
. Any of you guys with stock ES suspension have what looks like sag in the rear? I am actually really exicted cause my rear end is clearly lower in the back than in the front making me think my springs are shot in the rear and thinking this is really hurting my traction. Seriously debating cleaning up and repainting my wheels flat black too I think that would look awesome.
Kinda confused on what your sayin here lol. Wasnt sure how to respond. Basically ya I figured in the areas where I knew I would be spending most of my tuning I would give myself plenty of resolution. And since I knew I wont be hitting 300 load why have it right?

I know right? Actually this is what I planned to do in the beginning but never got around to it. Now they have been curbed and fixed so much that would not be worth it to powder coat these wheel. Until I decide to buy others I think I will just paint them for now

Alright springs are in and I have been driving around for a little over an hour checking things out. No odd noises, ride quality is great. Cornering is awesome compared to my stock springs, body roll is significantly reduced if non existent. Also my 2nd gear tire fryer is gone now too she actually grips all the way though second where before anything (and I mean anything) above 3000 and she started spinning right up to redline. I definately think my rear springs were shot. Seen what looked like the pass rear shock had been leaking some too but seems to be perfectly operational... for now. All in all these springs are sweet, very happy with the purchase so far.

Yup just the springs for now and it made a world of difference for sure. Its not bouncy at all and I love the stiffer ride over the stockers. Not half as bad as my pickup lol. Install is a piece of cake. Tein states you have to take a middle chunk out of the bumpstops instead of say an end piece but I just followed directions. Longest part was waiting for the glue to dry since I had to glue the bumpstops back to the shock dustshield, otherwise it would just slide down the shock and not da anything lol. If I had not had to do that I guess MAYBE 1 1/2 hours total by myself. This job requires an impact. If you do not have one it would easily turn into a 4+ hour job lol.

Got a chance to do some logging today and I bumped up my fuel from 150 load and 3000 on up .3 afrs. This put my actual afrs in wot at a very nice and acceptable 11-11.3 all the way through, I left the timing as is and it actually seemed to lower my already fairly low knock counts. Couple runs of 2 counts or less and couple more with maybe 3? Not too shabby and she pulls very good

LOUD A wiper blades, lol. Sick vid...I want my AFR's that smooth! And yeah, your big head was all kinds of in the way(jk). So, I'm jumping on that bandwagon, and recording my car in a mini-vid as well this afternoon. Still knock? Are you advancing timing to make power, and that's why you see knock, or are you long past that, and now dealing with like, random interval knock on shifts or something?

My next vid has about 3-4 runs in it and all were virtually knock free, some random counts of 3-4 and so of course they were harder pulls too since my timing stayed descent. I will find a better way to mount my camera to keep my head lol and other thing out of the way so you can see the gauges clearly through the whole run, my logs gave me some good news I am almost completely out of the 10afr range in the 2500-3500rpm range. For some reason I was dipping down to the low 10s in that range but I have got it up to 11.1 or so with a couple runs showing dips of 10.9. All in all getting much better
I still cant figure out whats up with the heavy knocks with fast shifts so I dont do them. Thes are all 3rd gear pulls then I shift into fourth and slightly eas into WOT until around 100-110mph
