You did a boost leak check right? Does it dip when the BISS adjust mode is on? That will narrow it to being either in the tune, or something mechanical.
Yeah now you see what I have to deal with every flippin day lol. Yeah no boost leaks. Pretty sure it dips with biss mode on too although never paid that much attention when it is on. Without exaggeration I have probably tried 50 different setups or more with my idle values trying to solve this. It didnt start until after it sat for only like 2 weeks maybe? while I was waiting on my radiator to come. I thought maybe it had to do with me bypassing the throttle body coolant lines but no I re hooked them up last week. I did not do anything to the tune which is why I initially thought it was something I did while the car was down ( I did alot of cleaning and re arranging under the hood). I am starting to swing back to mechanical and not tune related since nothing ecu related seems to help this issue . Yes my afrs dip hard to like 10 and maybe make it back up to like 12 before it hits again and drops. My IPW doubles as well although I dont think this is causing the issue I think this is just the ecu trying to solve the issue by adding more fuel to keep it running.

I love posting and seeing vids!

So, yeah...if it does it with the BISS mode activated, I would say with 90% certainty it's something mechanical, or something dirty, right? The maf maybe? can you swap to stock maf, and reflash with those settings for maf scaling, size, and comp?

My maf has no honeycomb, so it does that same sort of behavior, which is why I swapped to speed density rather than buying another maf. It could be that the car things "damn, that's a lot of air coming in, I should match that with 2x fuel" and then it goes "pum"

I have cleaned the maf and the Egr and a crap ton of other things with no luck. Swapped out numerous parts with also no luck.

Another quick one. I have others with the WB off so you can see more of the dash but camera was moving too far off it to really see. Pedal control is hard in 1st and second trying to keep the wheels planted.

It was, of course, on a track where he's legally allowed to move that speed. It's really neat to see the difference in how your RPM gauge increases at quite a substantially increased pace in comparison to mine (6psi). I will also post a small video.....in 3...2...1...

Finally got a chance to view your vid Hornstar very nice. I dont know about you other turbo fellas but pedal control to keep from spinning is non existent in first and flipping difficult to say the least in second. Those couple of jumps you see in third gear I was having to back off the throttle just a tad because it was breaking loose there too. So as you guys can see in my graph on the last page my trq takes a nose dive after reaching peak. I am thinking about upping the timing in the 4750rpm+ range but honestly I am afraid I am playing with fire lol what do you guys think?

I don't think upping timing will help lower torque, if that's what you are asking. I think an electric boost control method is what you need, since mbc is set at one specific spot, so power tapers after the spike.

*edit* ump...colors are reversed in my vid, I must have clicked something I wasn't supposed to when uploading. Or editing I guess, I pieced together a couple clips.

I noticed that I thought you did it on purpose for whatever reason lol. I know power tapers off after peak torque but dont you guys think mine seems to drop like a rock or is it just me? Would like to hold more torque to redline

Well I got my new coupler today and guess what? TOO SMALL wtf... The coupler I have been using says right on it 2" to 1.5" so this is what I ordered. Didnt think to take actual measurments. So I had to take measurments today and what does the coupler actually measure? about 2.35" to 2" grrrrrrrrrr. The bigger end is actually a little too big so I ordered another one 2.25" to 2" and have to wait now probably till monday or tuesday. Why the hell does it say 2" to 1.5" when this is definately not the case.

Ok Im done just had to vent...

Speaking of venting...my gm 3port works. I've been cruising around all day at around 8psi, still needs a ton of fine tuning, that's why I left it at 8 instead of 10 though.

Speaking of couplers...I wanna relocate my battery to the trunk and get a short route pipe, because I really hate the evo8 UICP, it just isn't quite right!!!

Can you take a pic of how yours sits with the intake and the thicker radiator?
