Well thought I would update some. Pulled my injectors out today cause I thought I could smell raw gas every now and then. #1 injector the o-ring inside the rail was torn a little and the rubber spacer at the top was kinda smashed and almost looked a little cooked. I replaced both but when reinstalling them I noticed the spacer had to kinda get smooshed in order to seat the rail. Wondering if maybe too much paint collected in the #1 port at the bottom since the other 3 seem fine and I neglected to cover them when I painted the mani. Still have the idle issue although its semi random ever since cleaning the stepper valve.
Adjusted my wg again too hoping to solve my slow spool issue. I think all I did was cause it to slow spool all the way up instead of just to 7 psi lol. I might pull my whole manifold out when I take vacay early next month then adjust everything while its off the car. As it stands right now 4k rpms is when I hit full spool of 13psi :-/. Power seems to be there when I get there but the lag is killing me. also causing my afrs to be way out of whack.

+1
^^
My waste gate was not on tight enough to close the flap in the waste dump and it was throwing off my afr's and turbo took long time to spool. I could hear it rattle when i let off the throtle. Now that its been adjusted the turbo spools up very quickly.

Now that you mention that I can hear a rattle if I have the hood up and hit the throttle under the hood. Honestly was thinking it was my turbo fins although there was no shaft play when I pulled it about a week or two ago. must be the wastegate flapper. Note to self and to anyone out there, MATCHMARK YOUR TURBO COLD AND HOTSIDES BEFORE SEPARATING LOL. As soon as I pulled it I knew I messed up. I think the only way for me to properly realign it will be to pull manifold and all. Pita there oh well.
yeah it takes awhile for the spool up it seems when I hit 17 pounds I had to shift already 4th gear is the best gear so you can go all the way since its longer

I just kept thinking I had the turbo clocked wrong when in reality I just didnt thread the eybolt end far enough down for it to hold the flapper shut( I marked it before I removed it to change the spring but apparently my paint ran down the threads). Spool up feels almost instant now
Well so far since I pulled the injectors out and replace the #1 o ring I havent smelt any raw gas so thats good.
Spool up is back
Cant believe I didnt think of this right away lol. Incrphish was right on the money it was my flapper making the noise not my turbo.

Can someone tell me if the "Relative Air Density vs Temp for Airflow/Hz" Table in the 9417075 rom is the same table as the "Air temperature Compensation" Table in the stock lancer rom? It looks very possible although the evo table has Fahrenheit in the left column and Fraction in the right where as the lancer has Celsius in the left and Units on the right.
