HKS

Not only the Lancia, but HKS developed a twincharger kit for the supercharged MR2, and they did it just recently on an Acura Integra for Meguiar's. Both cars may not utilize both turbines at the same time, but it can be done on a 4c engine, and no, I may not be a mechanic, but I don't think a twin turbo V12 is a practical replacement for either of those cars.

the delta s4 made nearly 500hp and 333lb/ft of torque out of 1.8L and that was in 1986.

remember guys money talks if you got enough money you can do anything even if you want to super and turbo at the same damn time I guess I read the reviews on these cars and yep they did it and for what... I would say that the money spent on such things as this could be spent into converting the car into a rear wheel drive setup and cutting out some of the engine compartment making enough room for some super elaberate v12 engine hey Im serious **** like this happens all the time Ive helped put a 350 in a bettle and it runs an 8 in the 1/4 mile flat. So hey I guess Im seeing a new erra in engines or prolly just some rich people throwing together some very weird things but seriously though when it comes to 4c engines low end will just never be good you just have to work on the strong points because hey even with 500 hp it only has 333 pounds of torqe. My father has a 97 z28 supercharged and it has 500hp with 560 ft/lb of torqe and the front of the car will hop off the ground about 4 inches and he only spent I think around 4000 bucks and to go from 280hp to 500 not too bad. I would hate to assume anything but I would have to say that...Im just saying not stating or setting anything in stone but...I dont think they put 4c engine in cars to race on a drag track call me an idiot or something but I just well well I go to the races every friday and I dont see the any topfuel guys dragin 4c engines maybe I'm not paying attention I have been noted of that before
well I've prolly given myself a bad name on the sever and everyone hates me now sorry for the quarell but it just got fun so.. hehe well gunna hang it up for the night seeya

Not to take this totally off topic, but import drags are usually a completely separate event. I'm not much of a track person, but apparently they're very popular. Personally I don't see much of the appeal.

K... got a question that I see has been asked before... kind of. I wanted to see if anyone had any further info on a possible SC for the Lancer... I've heard that the ones for the 1.8 Mirage would work, but, since the engine compartment is turned around [for lack of a better term] would that be possible? And, how much would something like that cost? I really want to SC simply because it's cheaper than the turbo, within reach financially. Bang for buck, TC. But, I don't have the time or cash to drive out to SoCal.

VW Corrados had SC I4s in them. I used to work with a guy that had one. Only mods were a cam and precooler. Car pushed 250 hp stock. and fast as f@#% off the line.

Only the 90, 91's & 92 G60's. Then the SLC's from 92-94 had v6's. I almost bought a 93 instead of my Lancer. Dropping the Corrado (sales...yeah, I know blah blah blah) is one of my top reasons for not liking VW anymore. Neat cars. Not too cheap on upkeep though.

Same guy (that had the '91 G60) said VW was going to rerelease the corrado (or corrado type car) in the near future with the W8. Very limited I guess

I wouldn't want one with the W8 in it. LARGE engine. Heavy mother. Not going to help much. I'll take the 1.8T or the VR6. W8's pushing it.

Those W8's can more than make up for their own weight. If I got a VW it'd be a Scirocco, Corrado or older GTI in that order. Why did VW have to become all cute and crap with their cars?

The W8 Passat is quicker than the V6 Passat in the 0-60 and the quarter mile so the extra power the W8 puts out more than makes up for its extra weight.

Wow, I don't even remember making that post. Awesome!

I stand by it though. I really liked what VW had pre their dumping the Corrado.
