CVT Turbo Update
I got a great call the other day. A customer called to thank us. He is one of the few CVT turbo cars out there. He has been running for a couple weeks and is totally satisfied with his car and the setup from RRM. Am I surprised? No but I am happy he has held the trans together and it seems that all systems are go for CVT guys provided they respect their trans. The kit we adapted for the CVT Lancer is working out well and even though we run lower boost levels than our manual set up, the car proves to be virtually just as fast as the manual trans turbo.
I have not posted up about CVT because we wanted to see a few out there running for bit. Now that we are getting these positive reports from customers, all we can do is report that to others that email us constantly. This is simply the best way to share what we hear from the street.

Yea I did since I posted late at night and no one seemed to see it. IT must have gone to the bottom before a single sole saw it so just gave it a chance to be seen. After that, if no one cares about CVT turbo, then that is fine.

IT is on the site now. Yes the cooler is REQUIRED in our opinion. We feel it is tempting fate if you do not run a trans cooler. They are a good idea with or without turbo on a CVT car but with turbo you have to have it.

because you wouldnt be getting a deal anyways. they now sell their piggy back by itself for people with turbo setups, but they charge something like $1600, whereas the company who actually makes the piggy back sells it for $500. RRM just wants to make money. either way though, you can get a good dyno tune, specifically for your car, for about $400 or less.

I am afraid they are not the same thing so............ Our boxes are titled similarly but the same because they are the same with regards to the primary processor. Our has to have 2 more processors in order to allow a Lancer to run. Do not get started. Yes we are a business that makes money. Lets leave it at that. Thanks......

The issue with these piggies is that they have to control fuel, timing but also other parameters that we NEVER Saw until the 08 came around. This is the reason people have had so much trouble turboing these. Each addition processor costs us about $200+ on top of the basic box. The other thing is that it will come with maps for each of these processors, that will help make it run. You will not need to go dynoing if you are running similar setups too. This is why the $$$. There is a lot there and it is made just for Lancer. In fact the box for a 2.4 and 2.0 are even different!
