If you drive it sanely you should be fine for a long time.
Drive sanely? Why would you pay 4,500 dollars for 50ish extra HP and then not use it?

That's what I'm saying.
I would guess that driving your "CVT sanely" wouldn't include racing autocross, that's what is has to do with it.
I wouldn't buy this kit to pick up groceries and drive to work.

lol I have seen with my own eyes a stock SST come back in to the pits at MOSPORT in limp mode. SST doesnt like getting heat soaked. well the early ones in the first year.

I guess it depends on the person. I know a kid who smashes everywhere he goes, his foot is lead on that pedal. But for me, I like to take it easy for the most part, but sometimes put my foot down when needed. I do go on canyon runs so its not like im a grandma most of the time. Just depends on the driver. If my sh*t were turbo'd, I dont think I would be smashing everywhere I go, constantly.

Well, maturity is everything. It pays in the end.

Well that's just it though, it doesn't in this case. Being mature and taking it easy looks great in comparison to blowing your engine, but considering you pay that much $ for gains you won't even be using all while putting more stress on your engine, it's still a horrible idea lol. Neither one pays in the end, it's actually more of a lose-lose situation. The only reasonable option is to not go turbo lol.

You got to have power to have something to control.

LMAO so now you are saying that your turbo kit doesnt produce enough power to have to worry about control? im confused, isnt this thread supposed to promote your turbo, and give people reasons to spend almost $5k on it? haha

Well sure, however you're not "controlling" the power, you're avoiding it at all costs lol. Not really the same thing bro.

Also note that cars where going turbo is a viable option do not require extra, external control. If your car is tuned correctly you're good to go, no need to watch ur driving and hide from the power lol.

We're discussing the practicality of the CVT turbo in a CVT turbo thread. How exactly is that off-topic?

In any case, god forbid one of RRM's shameless self-promotion threads get locked. Wouldn't that be tragic.
