Zomg cvt reinforced belt / chain

Heat kills the CVT. Not the TQ pressures.

250 to 300 hp is possible so long as you service your CVT frequently with fluid changes. At my last check in with my Asian contacts, CVT reinforcement (belt) is in the works, but they will not go into mas production until there is a market need for it.
Dude I would have a mangasm if I saw a cvt reinforement performance racing belt come out into production it would be like a dream come true: and if anything ill just hook up my car with bolt ons and add a forge stroker kit to my 4b11 and better cams untill it comes out and when it does come out. I hope the reinforced belt or chain can handle like 12 psi of boost or more if it doesnt come out ill crack a tear lol . and it should come out because they do have products to make automatic trannys stronger and so do manual trannys so why not a product for us cvt users to make our cvt stronger. oh and I forgot to ask how frequently would I need to change my cvt tranny fluid of course with red line or eneos fluid would I have to change it every week or or every 2 weeks if I have my turbo boost me up to 250 - 300 hp. And even if they make a reinforced performance racing cvt belt would you still need to leave it in L because the way I drag race with it I like to leave it in D mode step on the pedal not to hard or not soft and when I reach 30 mph I like to let go of the gas and throw it in L and DIP theres noting like that feeling it gives me a rush love it haha.

Dude, you might just get a MANGASM. This is being worked on as we speak by RRM along with some undercover folks from Mitsu (being serious) and a third party. We are trying.

N/A Lancer build = Normally Aspirated as it came from the factory.

I'm interested in how this works out as my Outlander Sport uses the same basic engine, the 2.0L 4B11.

not to be an a hole, but dude your killing my vibe here..... lol. The gts is the same thing as the de, es, it just has 10 more hp because it probably has a better exhaust. and it has a spoiler and bigger rims which are heavy and look ugly lol. And i was just giving a guess on how much the racing cvt belt would cost who knows it might be less then that and honestly it would be worth every dime to get. I enjoy racing with cvt at the tracks and drag strip, its freaking fun take off in drive then when you get to 30 or more hp you throw it in L and take off like a beast. So imagine upgrading the cvt belt with a reinforced performance racing cvt belt, adding a tranny cooler possible 2 or 4, add all the lancer bolt ons from RRM.com, add a forge stroker kit to our 4b11 engine, add performance cams that give 20 whp, and alot more stuff you can do to beef up the engine, and add the rrm cvt turbo kit and set up the turbo boost to give you 300 hp or more = GG ZOMG

i highly doubt it will be that much. you would be spending 10,000 from RRM for a turbo kit and CVT chain? nobody in their right mind would pony more than half of the cost of our cars to be running a turbo kit.

even though RRM is known for its rediculous prices, i dont think they're THAT stupid.

The GTS is the same as a de and es? I thought the GTS is 2.4 while the de and es are 2.0.... 2011 models....

Let's calm down on the new CVT belt. Who knows how far along RRM is on the unit or if they'll even succeed. And with how much money they'll invest designing it's likely the belt will be over priced as usual. Do some research before you become a total RRM fanboy, there are better bolt ons and far better turbo builds out there. You'll also find that the cam swaps have not been completely successful. It's great to be optimistic, but stay informed so you can filter through the exaggerated manufacturer claims rather than naively praising them.

I thought the GTS is 2.4
2008 GTS has 2.0

The original GTS got stuck with the same 2.0, but then they switched to the 2.4 in '09.

(mod's note: Please keep it civil, guys. If you'd like to call each other out, take it to PMs.)
