testing turbo internals

how do you test the blade inside the compessor I had my set up a while now and i think ime hearing a rattle from the turbo on rev up and down

This is pretty much the norm to take off the TC. Spin the fin. If the shaft wobbles, it needs a rebuild.

the fan inside isent lose and feals nice but it still making a rattle noise an one have any sugg.

what turbo are you using, on the left it says 02 oz, but in your profile its a mirage :\ are you running a turbo kit that we know of, or is it custom built, i know it shouldn't apply really, but jsut wondering what size turbo you have and where you got and how long, i get a rattle, but its only on low end, and its just the turbo 'manifold' if you will tapping against my header

it's probably a loose bolt somewhere on the exhaust. check all your connections along your exhaust

seems to me like exhaust.. mine did the same thing for a while till i tightened everything up then the noise went away..

if a turbo is rattling, it's not gonna last long, and since there about 20 days between his two posts, I can only assume that the turbo isn't rattling. double check all the connections

its a t28 the rrm kit I dont really drive that much I havent had much time to do anything but is not the exoust i just had it done and checked all the way down the line it only realy rattels an start up and then quits down and it does it on rev down and now the car revs real high on intial start up

to test for shaft play on the turbo you dont spin it...you take the intake side of the shaft and move it from side to side to see if there is excessive play.

yea I sunn and tried to wiggle it sise to side seemed fine is that all i should be woried about thanks for all the posts Ive said before and ill probably say it again this site is the best out there
