I fixed the altenator belt and then ended up running into another issue. Well an issue I let happen.
When we were tightening the accessory belt back up we tighten the tensioner pullery too much and now the belt doesn't tighten all the way. I don't want to keep trying to loosen it because the bolt feels like its going to strip on the pulley.

I thought i found the issue with the vaccuum leak but it doesn't seem to have fixed it.
The intake pipe looked like it was on all the way when viewing it from the top but when you looked from below the intake pipe wasn't all the way. I pushed it all the way but it's still idling at 17.
In dealing with the serpentine belt I wasn't able to install the Blox vaccuum plate. Next week I have 2 days off in a row so the plan is to take care of that.
In the meantime any other way to fix the vaccuum from being at 17.

They look a heck of a lot better than the ones I pulled out a while back. So, I am a little lost with so many fresh turbo kits, you are not able to build boost at all? Or just knock real bad?
Edit*** I read back some. You can get 4psi, that's fine then. You are probably too rich or lean or too much/little timing, if that is even a problem...it may not be. I guess, let me ask you....what if anything doesn't seem right to you right now. I know the thought of a leak is bothering you, is it the idle then?

I can't boost at all.
Burner is the one that is knocking really bad and can't get rich enough.
I try to boost but I get nothing.
What's bugging me is that I can't boost and the fact that it seems like there is a huge vaccuum leak. I get to "0" and that's it. Also I noticed today on the way to work that while cruising at 60MPH, at about 2.5K RPM that my wideband was reading 10 which is super rich if I'm not mistaken.
So I'm completely lost at this point.

does the alternator have a tensioner on it? i know the power steering does but i thought you manually tightened it and tightened the bolts in place. i can't remember though. haven't messed with it since i changed the crank pulley and i work on a lot of cars all the time lol.
if you're not building boost i'm guessing it's a wastegate problem. if not that, did you buy a used turbo? maybe someone sold you a blown turbo. could be a leak in you're turbo piping. but if you're running a bigger fuel pump and a 5th injector you probably are running rich since you aren't boosting and you're not getting enough airflow to accommodate the fuel delivery. hopefully nothing major good luck man keep us updated. i want to see hp results when done

the altenator doesn't have a pulley on it. It has a tensioner on it but basicallly you use the altenator to creat the tension and then the tensioner just allows you to secure it. Easiest way to explain it I guess but you that should get you the idea.
I got the wastegate from Steven on here. He had been using it fine on his car.
The turbo had no shaft play on it at all. In or out or side to side.
The rich: could be. Like I posted earlier when I'm cruising the wideband reads "10.0" on it. I don't have a 5th injector but I do have a walbro 255 pump on it.

its got to be the turbo, I had no issues with that wastegate at all, you can check my previous threads. Bro when I put my car back stock I will probably ship you my turbo and see if that helps and if it does you can buy mine. Thats my guess you tighten every coupler, and checked the wastegate. Thats the only issue you would have, did you buy a used turbo?

If I'm not making boost due to too much fuel could it be due to my MAF scaling. I have the stock lancer MAF. I was looking at those tables and the stock ROM and hybrid ROM they were very different.
On my stock lancer ROM the MAF scalings its set up as load on the left and g/s on the right.
The hybrid ROM has MAF Hz on the left and g/s on the right.
The values don't match at all in regards to numbers either.

I already solved the problem... Dude really cmon im not being a dick but you BOUGHT AN EVO 8 TURBO FOR $35.00...
Ok number one rule that we all said in our turbo forums please tell me if im wrong
if your going to do it right spend the money the first time... you sir have a blown turbo thats your issue. I bought my turbo for 275 shipped... and its not your wastegate because I was making 15 pounds with a boost controller on that wastegate.

Yeah, if you got it for 35, without it being some sort of friend deal, its probably the issue.
You can replace it, or rebuild it.
Richness is a byproduct of expecting to need more gas due to turbo, but not getting that compressed intake air.
You can move the flapper on the turbo to ensure the wastegate opens and closes, with the eyebolt disconnected. The closer of the 2 positions to the main piece of the wga is closed, so if that is correct, then its el turbo.
