I got a check engine light on today. Can anyone school me on using evoscan to read the codes?? I see the option to clear the codes but I don't see anything to read the codes.

trouble codes suck in evoscan imo, i've only gotten them to work when i close evoscan, reopen it, scan for codes, close it, reopen it, clear codes....and sometimes i have to disconnect usb then reconnect. Might have to do with op2.0 instead of 1.3u though?

quick pic request and a question:

Can someone post up a pic of where they have the blocks hooked up to their engine stand please. I was taking apart the motor and then I realized I had it on the oil pan so I couldn't take it off. We couldn't fnd another place to hook it up on the block that would work with the engine stand.

You mean where do you connect the engine stand up to? You connect to bell housing bolt holes on the block. Your engine stand should be adjustable to accept various size engines

lol...engine is still in the car.

This is a spare motor I had laying around that I have been too lazy to take apart. The timing belt snapped on it according to my co-worker's mechanic. I haven't found any evidence of it but I own't know till I have it completely apart.

The valves aren't vent on the head and the piston walls look good so far on two of the cylinders but I can't see the other two because they are at the top.

I'm gonna rebuild it for boost so that it can run 10-12 lbs safely. Plus this way I will have it in case the stock one goes.

so my trims were off and when I took a look at the rom it didn't match what my stock rom said for my injectors. I switched the injector scaling and latencies to my stock rom numbers but it actually made my trims worse.

before my trims were between -6 to -8 on both the short term and mid term. Now they are at -10 for the short term and mid terms will start off at -2 and work their way up to -10.

Any ideas. is it a injector scaling number or a latency. I was reading about it and it coming back to the injector scaling number needing to be raised because the trims are negative.

Why would my trims be off if I have the stock injectors with the stock setting for them. The only fuel change/upgrade I have done is the walbro 255 pump?

Did you ever convert to a return fuel system if not since ur a 04-06 that doesn't have a fpr the walbro is causing a lot of pressure in ur fuel line which means more fuel bring pushed through ur injectors due to the raised pressure

so is that why the fuel trims are so high and negative?? That would make sense. How can I combat that without switching to the return fuel system??

would putting in the 440s help out at all??
