just pressure it and have someone watch the boost gauge for you and have them tell you when it gets to 8 or so

how would I pressurized the system bro. I have an air compresser but no valve to limit how much goes into it.

Do not use an air compressor without a pressure regulator. Get a connector, and a regulator from harbor freight. If you pressurize the system to like 50 or 60 psi, something is bound to break.

In other news though my altenator belt snapped off on the way home tonight from work.

I had reflashed the ECU and was at about 85 load when I noticed my battery voltage drop to 12 which very quickly made me worried. I look at the cluset and my battery and brake lights were on. Everything else was on and the car never shut off.

I pulled over and noticed my alternator belt was just dangling. Lady luck had other ideas for me. I was planning on changing the belt on Thrusday which is my next day off but I have to do it tomorrow morning.

I drove home for about 50 minutes on just the battery, turning my lights off whenever there wasn't a car around to conserve some battery life. It made it home though which I'm happy about.

that really suck man!

so im not sure if its just 05 up but when i do a boost leak test all my pressure seem to leak out of the vacuum control valve. Do the older lancers have those? its on the very left of the intake manifold. Its also labeled in the vacuum routing diagram on the hood.... when i pressure it to 8lbs it seeps out the stupid valve out till 3 and chills there

burner any way you post a pic of what you are talking about. I don't remember seeing a pink things.

I bought a BLOX vaccuum plate yesterday from a local guy so I'm going to route all my vaccuums to that tomorrow along with putting on the new altenator belt. It's my only day off so I gotta do it tomorrow.

I haven't tried because I haven't fixed the altenator belt yet.

When I broke the belt I was at 85 percent load and it was starting to pull but I didn't see the boost gauge go past "0".
