Cool man I guess since the project was pushed back why not replace it? Better safe than sorry. Not sure when I'll have a next big update. Work is going to be super busy the next 2 months so I don't see a big update until after then. I wish my rom was defined so I could get the hang of tuning.

You can flash a ROM from another year on to your ECU. You just have to change the reading method on the xml, I think you use mitsukernel and not mitsukernelocp (check spelling) which only 04-05 used I believe.

you manual or auto?

I'm a manual but my evo rom I'm using to tune is RoadSpike's big maps which is weird. I don't know if I can try any ones stock rom if they have it?

If any one knows how to inherit another definition I can try that. I think I tried to do it for the 06 lancer definition that was in the definition file but it didn't work. Since I have a lot of time I wouldn't mind learning to define a rom on my own too.

Hey Jake if you figure out that rom defining stuff lemme know I've been trying but it is still jibberish to me lol. I had a rom one time that a member sent to me and it came up as undefined. I knew though that is was from an 02-03 lancer so I told it to use the same xml that my my stock rom does and it popped right up.

Rom bump LOL I'm still looking for a 04-06 rom for my MT transmission lancer. The rom defining is a lot of work. I don't know much about writing codes for programs as well. It looks like we'll need a program to map out the definitions. It seems like a lot of work but I'll keep looking into it.

I had a rom from him but I can't find it. The rom defining stuff is gunna cost some money to get. I'm still looking into other possible programs. I'll give burner a pm and see what happens. We should start a rom/ definition thread The es/ oz lancer roms are a little hard to come by compared to evo roms We have a definition thread but a rom thread would be great.

I got the rom, thanks Burner. How do I change which definition it can inherit from? I noticed my flashing method is different from his 05 lancer too. I'm on the "ocp" method. I just need to see if I can inherit another definition I can't do anything right now and it hasn't asked me which definition to inherit from.

you can change it in the xml file itself. Change the method from whatever he has to what you have and then save it.

Are you able to see the ROM in ecuflash?
