I got this car alarm/remote start installed and now my dad somehow ****ed it up lol. by that, i mean he put it in Valet mode somehow. All i need to know is what is the Valet Button/Switch?? It says to turn on the ignition then turn it off then flip or switcht he Valet key 2 times..but i have no clue what the valet button is. cause the remote has lock, unlock, remote start, and an option button. anyone have any idea??

the valet switch is usually in the car and mine was the led flashing light. try pushing on it and see if that works

sometimes the installers put them somewhere near the left panel by the hood release...sometimes it is even put behind the lip near the steering column...just take a look around there...it should be there!

Find the black box for the alarm/remote start... and begin tracing wires until you find one that terminates at a switch. May take some time, but will solve the problem....

Out of curiosity, what is the model/mfr of your remote start/alarm?

There could be a toggle switch somewhere under your dash. Valet allows you to have someone park your car in a private lot without setting the alarm off. Sure, they'll lock the doors and cut the power with the remote, but the sensors will be disabled. You use it when you go to a fancy restaurant, club or private reception and they have valet service...got it?

thanks..i'll look around or take it back to the shop and ask

http://www.audiovox.com/cgi-bin/ncom...t?prrfnbr=3934

that's the website, the model is PRO9675FT4 from Audiovox with both Remote Start and Car Alarm system. The dealer had an ad at the dealership so we got it.

BOOYAH, i understand what u're saying, but shouldn't it be easier to do that stuff? lol i'll keep looking. I WILL NEVER GIVE UP. unless i dont find it in 5 mins.
then ill take it back to the shop
