The Panasonic one reminds of my HU:

I don't really know, there both pretty much at the same level. The Panasonic has a little bit more output then the Kenwood delivering 60Wx4 vs. 50Wx4. But I'd go with the Panasonic.

I say the Pioneer because it doesnt flip around. I had a Kenwood in my GST, and the flippy thing got real tiring. I like the idea of just a nice face!

The Panasonic. I'm a huge kenwood fan, but the Panasonic is new, and different with the touch screen. Plus, more power. I also have a flippy faced CD player, and it does get old.

PANASONIC

definitely the panasonic... Thats gonna be the 2nd thing I puty on my EVO. I got to play around with last years touch screen model, and it is great. It has much nicer display that kenwood (resolution wise), plus you can change the colors to match the interior of your car (including red for lancers). I currently have the sony active black panel, and while nice, my remote control barely works anymore, so I keep it flipped open to control it (just like the kenwood). so Now I cant see the good display (its on the outside face), plusevery time the car shuts off it closes, so I'm waiting for the motor that flips it to die, and for me to be SOL, and short whatever CD happens to get stuck in there.

Go find a panasonic dealer and play with the panasonic touch screen, even last years version.. Its great. I'm considering putting some silver window tint film on the face of it, and mounting it flush, so it more or less matches the console, but the screen information will still be visible, and the touch screen still work.
Flush mounting a radio looks even better when there are no buttons or knobs poking out of the face.
