thanks bro! I am just worrying that the gauges being in the bottom of the 2 dins might be too low and difficult to read? I know that mitsu puts the stock gauges even lower down and people don't have complaints about that so I guess it shouldn't be too bad to check. I just don't want to be endangering myself by having to take my attention off the road for too long? Does anyone have any input here? Is it a pain in the *** to look to the center console to check gauge readings?

I'm still hoping someone comes up with a clean looking 3 gauge pod that can be attatched to the top of the center console, just like the STis have.

 

Unfortunately, yes. Even with the gauges mounted on my steering column, it is difficult to refocus my eyes down on the gauges for a split second. Compound this problem by the fact that you are usually pushing the performance envelope when you most want to look at the gauges, and also add that you tend to drive where you look, and putting gauges low in the center console is a recipe for mailboxes at 120mph.

Perhaps you could get some of the gauges with a replay feature so you can see what they did during your run AFTER you have finished it.
