Alarm system
the EVO/Lancer is one of the easiest cars to do an alarm on.......
just to get you an idea:
item/color of wire/polarity/location
12volts white + ignition harness
Starter black/yellow + ignition harness
Ignition black/white + ignition harness
Accessory blue/black + ignition harness
Power Lock purple to yellow - driver kick, door harness
Power Unlock lt. green - driver kick, door harness
Parking Lights green/yel (L), green/wht (R) + white plug bottom of fuse box
Reverse Light brown + driver kick, harness to rear
Door Trigger white - white plug bottom of fuse box
Trunk/Hatch Pin green/orange - light in trunk
Factory Alarm Disarm gray - driver kick, door harness
Brake Wire green + brake pedal switch
Parking Brake blue/red - parking brake switch
Horn Trigger blue/red or red - horn switch
Everything is easy to get to......wires are at the main ignition harness, fuse box, and lower harness at the kick panel.

On this topic, I had an alarm system installed... But now when the alarm is activated the lights (parking/headlights) don't light up with the bleep of the alarm. What wire might that be in that case???
Well that would be the parking light wire as mentioned:
"Parking Lights green/yel (L), green/wht (R) + white plug bottom of fuse box "
Usually it's a white wire coming from the alarm and has an inline fuse of 15-30 amps. You could be lucky and just the fuse is blown, so you just have to replace it. Look under the dash to find the unit and trace to find the wire. I would also double check to make sure that nothing is shorted, there must be a reason why it blew.
Of course you could also be lucky and maybe the wire came loose?

Also, be careful as wire colors can change based on location. Always use a meter to check the wires you are connecting to. If you are asking for a how to on this though, i would not recommend it, as an alarm needs to be installed very clean.
