Custom Fiberglass Progress Thread: check it out
MINI UPDATE!
ok, so in my planning i forgot one very important thing...the trunk latch swings...
due to the fact that my WHOLE trunk will be convered in fiberglass...there needs to be two small holes so the trunk can swing open and close without trouble...so this is what i spent all day making...

ok guys, so i ended up having to re-do th eright side ring...it was not sturdy enough and several of the mounts broke off...oh well, learn from you mistake...here are BOTH rings up and mounted firmly...looks good so far...

The direction the woofer is mounted won't change the wavelength. The frequency where waves will collide will be around 500Hz. It won't have an effect on output until 1/4 tones. I would experiment with running a sub out of phase. I assume a single bridged channel is running both subs so power and bandwidth will be matched. My educated guess is that you will pick up some upper bass output with the subs out of phase.
thanks for the advice bill...now
UPDATE!!!
FInally the fleece has come!!!!
i decided to just buck up and do it, this is my first solo fleecing job, and lets just say that i was a LITTLE intimated...eek! but i think it turned out preety good...here are teh steps on how i did it...

first, i just layed the fleece over the desired area...

then attempted to do the first area...

started glueing the back...

the i re-stretched everything...

finally i fleeced around the trunk latch piece...this is the only "wrinkle" i got...it will be covered with bondo...and the hole in the center of the ring is so i could reach my hand inside and work from that angle...everything is still tight on the outside though
questions? comments? concerns?
