Void Warrenty

stereo

i was gonna change my head unit but i have 2 things on my mind right now, the stock unit fits nice and flush on the dash, when i put the new one in will it stick out at all, and the other is that i heard even changin ur stereo voids the warrenty let me know

This has been covered befor. can not void your entire warrenty for anything you do. They can only deny a claim against your warrenty that was specificly caused by an aftermarket part you installed.

exactly.

remember, warranties only cover defects. they don't cover damage. but if for some reason your transmission starts to go bad and you want to get it fixed under warranty, having a headunit in will not void your claim. if you put a short shifter in and a clutch and other such things, they could easily void your warranty however.

k that makes sence but what about a intake, i know thats gonna have something to do with the mass air flow senser, but is there anything that can b messed up by one, or that the dealer can link a problem to it

unless you improperly wire your audio setup and fry your electrical system. that can easily void warranty claims against anything that is linked to the electrical system.

basically, with any mod, you can't void your entire warranty, but if the modification in any way could have affected the defect that you are claiming, the dealer will give you a pretty hard time about it.
