I will talk to the department director and see what he has in the works for demos and i will let you know. I believe the ballpark on each sub $1200 each.... might be lower but just a number i have heard before.

Why dont you cut appart the stock rockford sub box and refiberglass the enclosure and expand the box so it can support a larger magnet. That is what i plan to do

 

too much work for me. I am content right now with the stock setup... i might investigate another sub and amp later on

plus it wont mount up in the trunk the same and you will have to drill new holes on the trunk floor and use long one for the top mount....

 

bigstott how did know which wires were which on that wiring diagram? I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to schematics but I had my bro look at it (master's in electrical engineering) and even he wasn't sure what was going on. Any details you could give would be greatly appreciated.

 

First i have a degree in audio and electrical engineering so i have seen quite a few schematics.. two i have had a lot of experience with car audio in my lifetime so it helped a bit. Three the company i work for designed the premium sound system that comes in the new suby rubys and they have similar components like ours... so it boils down to experience. I will be doing some testing on the sound system for you all asap and will try to answer the questions i have been asked. For instance... signal wires from the deck to the amp for aftermarket sub use.... remote wire for amp... and stuff like that.

Got to give me a little time... i have to take the seat out to get to the amp... so i have to be sure i am not going anywere lol. plus i have to run a batt cable outside the car to a test amp and then to another sub to test everything. Hope i can get to it this weekend after a local lancer/evo meeting.
