Question HU harness

Can somebody fill in the blank for me. I just got my new HU and want to wire it the right way. I've done it before, but I was never sure it was done right.

Would 9 be Ground?

My new HU does not have the dimmer feature, so i will I keep the rheostat in working order? Do I just ground the thing?

My new HU harness has the speakers, red, black and yellow of course. But I also have P.Cont and Ant Cont. If I remember right, P.cont will power my sub's amplifier, but what about Ant Cont?

do yourself and the car a favour, buy a wire harness adaptor from any stereo shop for like $15. it has the same colours as your HU so you can just match colours and it plugs into the factory plug so that you don't hack it all to ****.

ant. cont. is for power antenna

Yeah, but I like to look at my stuff and know almost everything was hand made I got all my wiring working except for the rehostat. Anybody has some advice on that?

Edit: BTW #9 is an empty slot.

I bought the wire harness and hooked up my deck in about 20 minutes. Everything works like it should and I didnt have to mess around with the silly extra wires. they all got connected to the harness. you should do the same

i do have a harness....But i have a couple that wont be used...one of the orange ones, and power atennae,etc....why would there be 2 oranges anyway? why would you want something that has to do with the taillights...etc?? The full orange one did...so why do they even put it on the harness that I just bought?
