You basically just pull the A pillar plastic pieces off... Start by pulling the weather stripping (rubber stuff) out of the way. Then, at the top of the plastic piece, there will be a couple of tabs that you have to pull on a bit. After you get those loose, you just pull straight out toward the other side of the car, working your way from top to bottom. There are two or three more "body clips" that hold it in place. Once you get to the bottom, there are two plastic pieces that stick into little slots on the dash...this will make sense once you get ther. It's not too difficult, but the first time you take them off, it can be kind of intimidating. Just take your time and don't worry a lot about breaking them...they are pretty flexible. I can PM you the steps I took to do the whole thing (if I can remember them all), but it's sort of trial and error (hopefully not much error, lol) depending on how and exactly where you mount your tweeters to the a pillar metal behind the plastic. I'll help ya out any way I can though.

The checklist looks good...but you will need less stuff if you are going with a single 15" instead of both. You could get a away with running your Punch amp to a single 15", get a good 4 channel amp (if you are going to run speakers in all 4 corners + the additional tweeters), and wouldn't even necessarily need a cap...not right away anyway. Caps run in the $100 ballpark (give or take a little) by the way. Look around the classifieds area here...you can sometimes find one on here for a good price...in fact, you can find good deals on some REALLY good equipment here quite often. It's funny how people with Lancers seem to have good taste with mods and stereo equipment. Anyway, I'll try to write a little somethin' up to help you thru the A pillar modification. I'll even try to add some pretty pictures.

By the way...I'll write the directions up asap. My fiancee has drafted me to move stuff into her new 2nd grade class room tonight (yes, she's a teacher...no, I'm not a petifile, lol). I'll hook ya up soon though. In the meantime, you might want to try pulling the A pillar plastic off, just to get a feel for the area...to make sure it's workable for the tweeters you have. Well...off to lunch. Be back soon.

cool cool well I will have to get to that tonight I'm working some serious serious over time... heh i feel so little here a buddy of mine has a evo 8 and omg its so insane!!!! lol mine ohh i wish i could have that power but i would wrap myself around a tree more then likely... so I'm just fine with my lil LS, but as far as the Lancer goes is it sound aucustic? and to be honest do you think I'll have to many highs? or its just perfect... ooo I can't wait! lol I'm getting more and more excited by the moment... the only downfall to this all is I can't do anything till the end of the month (I've been praciting though on removing parts so I can get it in there easily) which is why I've been working so much teeheehee...
