Did you do the "free mod" yet? (just staying on topic)

I am going to convert my CAI to a SRI today after work. From there I am going to try to do try to apply some RAM ideas I've read.

I meant that I was staying on topic, because It might have been interpreted that we were BSing. I used some generic plastic splashguard snaps from autozone. They were ribbed and fit right into the ends of the nipples hehe

Why? There's absolutely no potential for harm by just leaving the hardlines on the TB open- save yourself a trip to the store

ok i did it. but i did what only i could do.............make it more complicated,
only i can somehow screw up a simple task, like when i put in a new intake, i somehow turned off the power steering.

this time when unhooking the long tube from the throttle body, i tore it so i sprung a massive coolant leak when i started the car, i lost half my coolant, had to go to autozone and buy coolant tube, rehook it up, and then put more coolant/water in the car.

What should have taken a supposed 8mins to do, took me about an hour. lol

but i finally got it sorted.

BLOODY HELL!!! You turned a 5 min mod into an hour crisis. Had to buy a replacement tube; how big of a tear did you make... At least you got the job done.

You turned off the power steering when installing the intake
Next time your working under your hood take as much time as you need and BE CAREFUL; we don't want you to f**k up your car and lose you to another car manufacture's forum.

i dont mean to do it, im always super careful.
it was only a small tear where the clamp is around it, its a good job it happened, cos it was really worn out thats how it tore so easily, it probably would have just snapped by itself.

dont worry i am not gonna break anything on my car....hopefully. and i did fix the power steering after it stopped working. Anything major that i cant figure out, i will take it in to get done....eg. timing belt. (which is next on my list)

I just finnished mine too and to plug the throttle body up I just left the small hose on and put it where the long hose came from, so that its a closed loop.
