Hey guys, just pulled the ROM from our 2002 Lancer ES (AT) and I have downloaded all of the definition files I can find (just did a bulk download so I had everything). When I try and open this ROM it will not pull up...any help would be appreciated here.

 

Did you check the roms database website?

if you upload this rom to here, I will try and find a correct xml for you.

 

if you can upload the other roms and xmls you have also, that would be good for others.

Hey senate I just download the 2010 def list and my laptop says file invalid or corrupted? I downloaded onto my desktop and I can open the compressed folder but it just has one big file and asks me to select the program to open it. Do I just drop this whole file into the ecuflash directory?

Edit: So I sent to uncompressed file from my desktop to my laptop then dropped the file into the rommetadata folder but no luck . Anyone have def files for 03 es? My def for my 03 es, isnt working for the rom I am trying to open.

 

Whats the rom ID? I downloaded the definition file awhile ago.

 

I dont know, how can I find it without opening the rom in ecuflash?

How do we extraxct the new definition files to ECUFLASH? Its just one big file instead of long list of xml files. Anyone have any ideas how to get the extracted? thanks

Right click with the mouse and push "extract" on the zipped file :/ The place to put it is in the first page.

 

yeah I unzip the file and it becomes a file that hasnt been assigned to any program. I used winrar to extract the file. Isnt there suppose to be list of xml files once its extracted? I placed the unknown file ttype in the lancer folder and it didnt change the way the rom opened.

 

i found the right xml file phew! 91890006... looked the read image file already saved on ecuflash and used the inherit. Now im comparing the high octane and low octane maps on both maps they look real different compared to eachother. 03lance can you look at my rom maybe?

 

If its your stock rom just save it. You'll need to go to a evo rom if your manual or use Roadspikes Auto Rom if your automatic. The stock lancer rom doesn't take to boost well. You'll need to find a rom to get you going now
