Air temp is actually selectable between both fuel temp and maf sensor. Its been awhile but i believe its setup to be fuel temp as a default? You'd have to look at the rom and see if the value is 0x3 or 0x5 both codes are written down to their meanings in the table.

Myself and another member are using fuel temperature. It's there.

I checked one this morning and it was setup to use the MAT sensor from the MAF. Its in the speed density programming section as SD Option: IAT
