Hi. Wanna check whether is it possible for me to flash a different rom with different definition file
but using the same engine? Very eager to know or probably an Evo 8 Rom into my 4G18 1.6Manual 06 Lancer.

 

I know for sure I works with the 4G94. I have been running an evo rom in my Lancer ecu for over a year now with no issues

 

^ I agree with him, but you live in Singapore and I'm not sure if the Lancer/Mirage/Evo ecus back there are the same.
Do more research to play it safe.

ok, 4g18 engines are 1.6L, yes they have 2 coils. i think that you should purchase evo8 maf senson as in the 4g18 it uses map sensor, or you can make this through tephra. just suggestions, you should research a little bit more. i have a cs3 lancer too and i want to put boost in it!!!

 

anyone managed to flash other roms? most of the rom runs on MAF, i need a MAP running rom. i cant get a complete XML for 4g18

 

You can but you still are probably going to have the change the values in the new ROM.
I have a Evo as my ROM but it was changed a lot to run my turbo and setup

 

are you running on MAP?

what rom did you use for your lancer? as many evo roms are 512kb type. Thanks in advance
