Is a 2009 cvt gts tune worth it?

Hey evom quick question i have a 2009 cvt gts stock at the moment but exhaust and intake going on in a few days. Im thinking about taking it over to a place called east coast swappers to get it tuned but im not sure if it would be worth messing with your car and the price of it for only little gains. Can someone help me out and give me some suggestions on wether it would be worth it or not and how much gains would be.
Thanks guys!

In my opnion no. Advanced tuning will require running premium fuel. And the gains just dont add up to a heck of a lot without some serious engine rebuilding and the step to turbo.

With an Exhaust and Intake, the car will respond better. A head will further compound gains from the intake and exhaust .

I've got a 2010 GTS Sportback, intake, axle back, springs. But by far the best money i've spent has been for the WORKS tune. Just an awesome difference.

@ al dopa- do you have to run on premium now? And did it murder your mpg?

WORKS tune +1, I have it, saves fuel, and car runs smoother throughout the rev range. I get better milage after tune by like extra 10 miles per tank of gas. It saves fuel in tip in acceleration 5-10%.

You don't have to run premium with the tune, but higher octane tune will net minimal gains.

the WORKS tune on lancer GTS 2.4L gives 18hp/18tq roughly, there's a dyno video online on it.

8hp-20hp for 2.4L from minimum 87 octane to 93 octane tune approximately with no other mods.

Yep, I run on premium now, no big deal really. My gas mileage actually went up, i knock down 30-32 mpg on the highway all day long.
