I realize that you decided to go with FI, but I've done almost everything you've done to my car, save for the headers and the test pipe and plugs, and I am in no way able to speak to the level knowledge about tuning that these guys can.

These guys know their stuff and they say that it is possible. Furthermore, the kinds of mods they are talking about involve more than bolt ons... while bolt ons are a significant part to this upgrade path their also has to be attention paid to other aspects including electronics and significant work done to the engine, ie pistons, cams, port and polishing. I have no doubt that in a year we will be seeing a N/A lancer pushing 200hp.

As for me, I wish I had the money to do what they are proposing, seems like more fun then FI. N/A seems like a great path for guys that like to get in there with tools and do some fiddling under the hood! But I'll most likely go FI when the time comes. I don't know, this thread makes me want to go N/A.

Is there a mod that can lock this post / delete the non-pertinent posts, before this gets out of hand?

Actually, before I started the engine work, I could beat that 2.5RS in any competition, and have the scores to prove it. Now that I've begun working the engine in earnest there wouldn't be any competition.

So do you just come around here, to the forums for a car you don't even own anymore, because the SpecV guys got sick of you?

I think its definately possible to get into the 15s... we have this one guy who comes down the RRM a lot, he has all our NA applications... EVERYTHING!!!... I was hoping to take him to the track 2 weeks ago but we got rained out... I tried to even convice him to get the High Compression Pistons, but he was set on going RRM turbo and being a beast with all his Na mods... hopefully I can take him to the track sometime soon, that way you can see how much more you need to do to get yourself to whatever goal your trying to reach. I am hoping he will be the fastest soon.

Some of us are staying NA and I'm speaking in my case because it is easier for me to save and buy each part individually opposed to trying to save up 3K plus for a turbo kit. The turbo is going to produce more wear and tear on the motor as well. I'd like to believe I am going to drive this car for the next few years so NA I think gives me the best shot at this.

There's nothing more exciting than getting a new mod installed and seeing how the car improves from it.

Remember to each his own. I respect your opinion that you think NA is a waste of time but don't try to badger us into believing it.

It's funny how you leave some of these threads for a night and how they errupt into turmoil.

Rippmods is coming out with a new intake manifold for the Lancer and they are doing a prototype as we speak for nextgen's lancer...it can be used for turbo, sds, NA. its a total replacement as the one they have for the eclipse they just finished.

i took my buddy (stumpy221) extra mani and gave it to them for measurements....

jamie - OK, I'm late here, but let's point something out. We don't all own '88 Camaros and have mullets. How fast you can get down a 1/4-mile isn't the be-all end-all stat. No one who bought a Lancer wanted a drag car (except for RRM, but that's another story). So get off your ****ing high horse, OK?

Nick - need pistons?
