2nd O2 Sensor Eliminator
2nd O2 Sensor Eliminator
I am used to tuneing 1G Eclipses, so I am new to Lancers. I am wanting to get a new manifold so I can get rid of the 1st cat, but if I do my CEL will be on and I will have a catelist efficency code. Is there anything to send a false signal to the ECU so the light will stay off? I wouldnt mind the light, but my fience drives the car, and I would have to hear her if the light is on. If there is something please let me know. Thanks
the first cat is in the headers. So are u getting new header or are you talking about the second cat under the car? If your getting headers go with http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/lancer.htm it comes with a place to put the o2 sensor

This should help. They probably aren't running the special on the CEL eliminator but here's the thread where it's being sold.

Almost everyone here who has a header says that their CEL comes on because the first cat is eliminated. For some it comes on right away but for others they say they were able to drive around for a few hundred miles before it came on. Now you can get rid of second cat with a test pipe from Road Race and that won't make CEL come on but a header will. A CEL eliminator should solve the problem and I'm sure there are other ways to as well.
