^^^yes that was a pain in the a** to get loose, and tighten. i think they are worth it. the rpw does give the most gains, but, imo was not worth twice the price. the best price on the kamikazes are on ptuning. http://www.ptuning.com/html/search-r...m&cmbYear=2002 i dont think it will make much difference, if any on the coating, so if you want to save some money then just get the black hi temp coat. now that i recall, pm greenpsycho, i think his will be going up for sale soon, hes replacing them with the rpw, so you could get them for fairly cheap.

They ALL come with a downpipe. That's how they're made.

I have a new tip for getting off that lower left nut. If you take off the oil dip stick tube, it will give you some extra room to get tools in there. Then you use a 14" box wrench, some 18 gauge wire, and a hammer. Tie the wire to the open end of the wrench (loom it around so the wire doesn't fall off), tie the other end to the middle of the hammer handle, and use it like a lever system. I've taken mine off a couple times using this method.

Definitely buy from PTuning, they seem like cool guys because they sponsor our autocross events

www.bigjoshracing.com

They are a dealor for kamikaze. Have the MIL eliminators too. He sells on EBAY too, and every once in a while you can find one of his headers on there for cheaper than the website.

You don't need a MIL eliminator. Turn the remaining cat around to get the O2 bung behind it, and extend the second O2 sensor wires. No more check engine light.

Just cut the b!@#$ off. I removed 3 stock exhaust manifold so far. Cutting the bolt(NOT THE STUD) was way easier than anything else I've tried

Ptuning.com is great! Free shipping, great price, and they work really fast. I have ordered from them before

sorry didn't read whole thread but i have a comment about the lower left nut.

there's no need to go through that much trouble. take of your cam/timing belt cover and there are 4-5 bolts (i think thats it maybe one more) you can get your hands on...i believe they were 10mm. i used a box wrench to loosen them and then it came out by hand. that left easy access to the lowwer left nut....also, use some penetrating oil before you take it off. saves a lot of time and energy...possibly even a snapped stud.

Ahh, wasn't aware of that. And if I replace my stock does that mean i have to put them back on every two years for emissions testing?

You can always use the rope method, thats what I did and I got it off without removing anything else. Basically you put a wrench on the nut, tie a rope to the other end of the wrench, and have someone yank upwards as you keep the wrench on the nut.

wow, there are so many methods explained of how to get that nut off, so i might as well contribute. put a box wrench on the nut horizontally, with the opened end side of the wrench towards the intake, place a dowel rod on the bottom of the wrench at the openend side, get it tightened against the wrench with a jack, and then jack it up slowly (just make sure the car isnt lifting up when doing it). about the headers, if your not concerned about cost, just get the rpws.
