Should I clean the runners?
I'll be installing the Rrm bored intake manifold this weekend. The Manifold has been on a car for quite some time so the runners will most likely be dirty and have some build up. Should I not worry about it, or should I be proactive and clean the runners before installing? If I should clean, is there any special product out there, or just plain water and a rag?
you could clean them. i'm sure the porting got rid of a large portion of the gunk but check this out. post #27....he didn't have such a bad idea.
Gutted/Ported/Polished Stock Exhaust Manifold
he was using some sort of acid. page 3 he follows up on the technique. seems a lot easier than doing it all by hand.
EDIT: while it's apart clean out your TB + EGR system. you'll notice the difference
