I'm sure it would be harder to tune than a single throttle body but I'm not an expert so I don't really see why. It's still the same amount of air coming through the stock maf and into/out of the turbo, it just has two sides to get into the manifold now making it easier and more even flow.

Maybe I missed something but where did the original Y-design go? The way it is now...doesn't make sense because the air will travel the path of lease resistance.

I know that this way is the far easier install but we want gains.

The vacuum created by the engine is sufficent enough to equalize the amount of air going into each inlet, or at least it should be, that's why you are the guinea pig, heh. It isn't as if the pipe leading to the passengers side throttle body is going to at any point be devoid of air. This set up neither increases, nor decreases the vacuum power of the engine but rather makes the distribution of air more effective, leading to better engine performance.

Even if you were to place the filter in a middle location, somehow, the effect would be the same.

For an experiment, take a vaccum and a hose. Add a differnt hose length T-ing off of the hose. You will notice that the vacuum pressure is equalized. While it would seem that the pressure is lessended on one of the hoses it should be the same as the other hose, no matter the placement...

^ well that makes sense

and as far as a turbo goes. Phil said it is easy, he can weld up some piping and tuning it shouldn't be much more difficult than a regular turbo

Phillip said that is not how the pipes go on the a2 forums; has he given any word on what to do with them now?

Now I'm just waiting for a day to install it. Most likely this weekend cause I have to drive 45 minutes to my friends house for his garage and tools. I have none here at my apartment.

OK after a long time, I have new info. Not too good though.
I just received my twin manifold today. You may ask why just now. When that first one arrived, the new throttle body was broken off of the manifold in shipping. I thought nothing of it (except its going to take longer now). So I mailed just the manifold back to be fixed. I think that was at least 2 months ago. Phillip told me he'd reinforce it and reinforce the second my friend ordered and get them out. Now after a long period with one maybe 2 replies from Phillip, I got my manifold back fixed. This time, it was a 4G94 instead of a 4G93. It is not so bad of a product, coating is good and all, but the new throttle body just looks like not a lot of time was put into it. It is drooping down a bit. The stock throttle body side has a bigger opening than the 4G93 so that is a good sign, I believe this one is ported. My pics are uploading as I type so they will be on here soon. Sorry for the confusion and wait. But also, I am still without the second twin set and no response about it or where it is...

A big one. I'm hoping that the droop on the throttle body won't affect the piping and that the couplers will bend a bit. Other than that, the enormous wait time, and lack of communication, I must say that the manifold and piping look great.

lol yeah, thats what I'm assuming. But my friend is pissed because he payed for his when I did and he hasn't seen or heard about it once yet and I've gotten mine twice now. Here's the pics. Sorry they're huge

The throttle body hole is much bigger so I think it is ported this time, you decide for now.
