Ignition System

Question about our (04) ignition system. What all needs to be upgraded? Where can it be found? At what point in the engine building should it be upgraded, if at all?

thanks

Only "upgrade" might be ign. wires. NGKs... Other than that, plugs I guess.

Plugs and wires are it. You don't need an MSD ignition box and no one makes coilpacks.

Grab whatever plugs you like and a set of ME-96 NGK plug wires and call it a day.

You should never have to.... 120K later and my coilpacks were still running fine.

Would the Apexi Super Grounding system work for our cars 02-06 Lancer? The website doesn't give specifics. But it would look like a good investment for a person with alot of electronics ie: Stereo, piggybacks, stuff like that.

Couldn't hurt (unless installed incorrectly). Might not help much. Ground kits get very different results for different people.

Don't get that Apexi! My brother got one for his Integra; did nothing, but make Apexi that much richer! LOL

My point was that it's not Apexi's fault. All ground kits are they same. They don't make much noticeable difference (if any).
