1. It probably is in the ECU
2. A flash may over-ride the PZEV...and would also utterly void your warranty
3. Use the search button - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=308849

I think i remember seeing in one of the maintenance instructional videos for Mitsubishi's engineers that the pzev spec engine has different parts towards the bottom of the engine. I'm not exactly sure whats different, or even if I'm right, but I hope that its just an ecu thing that can be programed because i think i might have a pzev engine. I live in Maryland, and it doesn't specifically say PZEV, but on the sticker it says it meets California specs, even though my car came in through a port in baltimore.

yeah... mine says the same thing... "California Spec" which im guessing is PZEV.. i doubt the 6HP differance between Federal and PZEV really makes much of a differance... I bought the first one in massachusetts way back in june? i believe. i didnt realize MA took the Cali Emissions now....

yeah i just relized mine says the same thing and i got mine in new york and had no idea about this. i think it is the ecu but i also know there is a second cat in the manifold and the new RRM header will eliminate this and im all over getting that. but now im worried about my ecu robbing me and the intake and or piggy pulling a cel and not running top notch.
