You need an openport cable and you need to download ecuflash from openecu.org. Make sure you know what your doing though as you can very easily, as senate said, completely toast your ecu.

you could even just get the cable for 90 bucks and use ecuflash to pull your rom and all you have to do with some people on here, not sure who, is email your rom to them, they will tweak it, then you flash your ecu with the new rom and your good to go. Oh man Im so excited now about this swap!!!! I always wondered if there was something we could do as the stock MAF always seemed inefficient to me.

So wait, is the 501 MAF somehow superior to ours other than the airflow? Cause I just looked at my lancer MAF and saw it wouldnt be too hard to modify it. Why are MAF sensors designed with that honeycomb mesh? Does it serve a particular purpose or just obstruct airflow? Here are some pics of what I mean with the lancer MAF modifying possibility. Please correct me if this is not a possible idea or if there is some way you could maybe cut that removable plate possibly to make it work?

imalancerman-> I can't see your pics cause they're blocked at work. Don't touch the honeycomb. If you attempt to modify or remove it, you're car will run like crap and the cel will come on almost instantly. Also, the plastic plate that covers the honey comb also covers the sides of the maf so air doesn't flow through the sides. Don't remove that either. The incoming air has to go through the center portion of the maf where the sensor is. You can get away with letting some air go through the lower portion(by backing out the huge plastic screw) but that's it.
