the bad news I tried and tried for about 2 hours and could not get the axel to go into the transmission. The length is perfect the girth is perfect the teeth are the same, it would only go half way into the hole and no further...
I figure out how the lancer transmission comes apart and I extracted the differential I will be taking the eclipse Transmission back out of the lancer so I can swap the differential ...I double checked the eclipse transmission is definately a K5M422F6ND inscribed into the case..

good news the ralliart drivers side axel showed up today ... the bad news I tried and tried for about 2 hours and could not get the axel to go into the transmission. I the length is perfect the girth is perfect the teeth are the same, it would only go half way into the hole and no further...

So it appears that swapping the Lancer diff into the Eclipse trans is the most practical way to perform the swap. At least they both use the same final drive gear so the ratio's are maintained.

That is correct just waiting on the 10" fans , but ive taken it out a few times on 1 fan, the temp stays between 212-225 but it hasn't been hot the past couple days so I'm trying not to drive it till the fans get here...
