I am really sick of it. I have done it ever since I got out of the military(1993). I chased for a long time, then the company I was working for decided to close the doors. So I started my own about 2 and half years ago. It pays good until you get alot of runners. Then you have to spend all your time looking for them. I am too cheap to pay a bountyhunter. LOL I chase my own.

What do you mean "whats the deal". Everything will be done tomorrow. The only thing that was done to my car as far as internals is the JE pistons. Plus the head work. The JE's run the exact same compression as factory, 9:5:1, The head shaved and cleaned up will give me alittle better flow plus a little more compression. NOT much though. The engine will run exactly the same as stock, the difference is that I will be able to run more boost. But them again I wont have a turbo installed until spring. It is wicked cold in my garage.lol. The only thing that kept me from starting today is the battery. Its on the charger and I will crank it up in the morning. The only thing that I will probably have to do is, prime the valve lash. All that involves is running the engine to 3000rpm and let off, might have to do it up to 30 times is what the service manual says. So stay tuned!

It finally done- valve lash was real loud when I first started it. But after priming and driving down the road for about twenty miles it has quieted up. I'm EAR TO EAR BABY!!!

Just out of curiuosity why didnt the rods get replaced. I read the thread and you said that road race said they were OK. How much power can they handle. NOT boost but power. They looked pretty scrawny to me. Just curious as we are looking to develop a kit for the lancer as we did the EVO and would like to know how much the internals can handle. Any info you can help with would be great. Thanks in advance.
