My cousin told me i should get a eagle engine for it but I want to make that **** move... any suggestions? dream goal is to reach 300-400hp if possible..... Miracle goal is to make it 10sec car

good luck, the most common engine swap is the 4g64 from the eclipse but you can't get anywhere near 300 Hp with that.

i made 275 at 15psi on a stock block and that was hard even with a turbo.

there are a few guys close to making 300hp but its hard and costly and not to mention a lot of work in building and tuning...

he can get 300 with the 4G64 swap only if he puts a turbo on it easily at 18-20 psi and im pretty sure he can do that with stock internals.

check out JRR's for sale thread get your feet wet with a turbo first before installing a brand new motor in that way you know what to expect

edit*** you can also put an evo 8 head on the 4G64 block and basically have an evo motor

How many successful engine swaps have we seen, 4? I think if your idea is that it will just magically drop in like a honda swap, you need to search through the fourm and read the other swap threads. It's pretty well documented by darkmitsu, all your answers will be in his thread.

Has anyone done a 4g64 with the 63 head swap yet? Those are making some power on club3g.

theres a 3g guy that did the g64 block with evo head and ran 15psi stock internals, and he ran low 13s on street tires with no traction, imagine the same in the lancer which is several hundred pounds lighter.

even guys that keep the 4g64 sohc and then boost it end up with about 250-280 at the wheels at about 10psi. the 4g64 handles boost very well. but traction will become an issue.

A local guy once did a 4G63 head from a Hyundai Sonata with Blox 272's onto the 4G64 in his Galant. This was a while back though and not even sure what ever happened to the guy.

The only things that "fit" are what have been mentioned. The more exotic the transplant, the more expensive the swap will be.
