Question smog legal

ok i am new to imports. and just about any thing made after 73. I do not know much about CA. smog laws. i just bought a 2002 lancer oz because i am starting a family and the old v8's just arent reliable. but i still want to up grade this car so in CA can you still pass smog if you add all the after market stuff like a terbo. or do a motter swap. i hear evryboody talking about adding this stuff but nobody says how they pass smog. pleas help all info is usefull. thanks

With respect, My dealer told me that I would have to put on the old stock parts to pass smog.. Otherwise, you find someone that will take a bribe....

anything after the 2nd cat or before the intake manifold..won't affect smog..since it's out of the emissions loop. anything in between is done at your own risk
