Intake and Engine Light...
Intake and Engine Light...
OK this is the deal I have had my Oz for about 7 months now and for about 4 of them my engine light have been on. I put an Injen cold air intake on it about 2 weeks before the light came on. I took it to the shop and they said it was the fuel gauge that was making it come on. At the shop they broke the speedometer So after 8 time to the shop they fixed the light. That was last Saturday and now it has been a week and guess what my light has now come back on. To make a long story short did anyone eles have a problem like this at all and if so let me know what you did or how to fix it.
did you unplug the battery before installing the intake? this would make it when u plug the battery back in, the computer will reset for the new airflow curve, not sure on the specifics but that's what i did and i dont have the CEL on
Should you reset the ECU when you install Bolt-Ons? I didnt do that but it makes sense, now that the intake is on it wouldnt take much to unhook the battery and plug it back up, Should I try it?
You would have to find which code is setting the CE light on. Just adding an intake won't make a CE light come on. How does the car run? Does it smell rich (gas in the exhaust and black soot accumulating on your rear bumper)? Rough idle? Without knowing which error code is being thrown you don't know what the problem is.

YEs you do have to unplug the battery for 4 min and then plug it back in. After this run the car for about 5 miles normally (not racing) and then turn off the car and turn it back on. Thats how i got my lite off.
