Engine knock
A few days ago I noticed a small knock coming from the engine area (most to the passenger side). Car is at 90000 miles and it’s been well taken care of. 2008 lancer es. Tried putting fuel additive / premium gas to see if it was bad spark plugs but no difference. Anyone else experience it? When I’m accelerating it it sounds like compressed air/ a rattle snake. Any help would be very appreciated .

check timing chain and timing chain guides. The chain tends to stretch over time and the wear out.
